Black Cab For Cutie?

Lykke Li ^^

I found this site a while ago but recently re-discovered it. Basically, it's when a band or musician gets in a black cab in London and the cab driver drives them around while they perform a song. It's a great idea and some of the musicians are amazing: Death Cab For Cutie, Fleet Foxes, My Morning Jacket, Okkervil River, Noah And The Whale and lots more.

They say:

"The sessions are all about great music and the venue strips this to its essence. We aren't picky about genre and will happily open the cab door to anyone who blows us away."

So, take a look if you can. :)

For extra illustration, here is a black cab with added cab driver! ^-^

Mosaic

So, I found this on The Life And Thoughts Of A Girl and thought I'd give it a try ^-^

Instructions:
1. Type your answer to each of the questions below into Flickr Search.
2. Using only the first page, pick an image.
3. Copy and paste each of the URLs for the images into fd’s mosaic maker.

Here goes...

1. What is your first name?
Rebekah. I know of very few people who share the same spelling of my name so I was a bit curious as to what would come up. A lot of photos of someone named Rebekah Grayson came up but there was a vintage, newspaper cut-out of Rebekah Colberg, a rather inspirational athlete from 1932 - 1946. I love collecting articles and pictures - I make my end-of-year books out of them.
2. What is your favorite food?
Oh, I don't know! I would say potatoes. Very versatile and yummy. And then this lovely heart-shaped potato popped up.
3. What high school did you go to?
One in the Oldham region of England - I wonder what comes up :D Joe Donmall! :)
4. What is your favorite color?
Ah, I can't just pick one! I'll pick teal because I can't pick between green and blue. A really nice bubble-art print has popped up!
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
^o^ I feel bad picking between Conor Oberst and Zach Condon at this moment in time. So I typed in both. :D And only photos of Zach appeared!
6. Favorite drink?
I'm suffering Ice Tea addiction.
7. Dream vacation?
I want to stay in Paris. I have already been but I want to go again and visit all the hidden gems. One of the pictures I found was taken from a really unusual angle so I chose that one.
8. Favorite dessert?
Cold apple pie!
9. What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be in a job that's different and quirky and combines media and music. I wonder what that comes up with it... An Architecture In Helsinki single cover art. :D
10. What do you love most in life?
Love...in all its shapes and guises. The picture was of lots of granite pots.
11. One word to describe you.
Shy = Little Miss Shy ^-^
12. Your Flickr name.
I don't have one :( I'll pop in this blog name in then... Oh look, a load of Kings Of Leon albums. :D

Amecon Anybody?

Finally - all the Amecon photos in one place. I must stress that not all the photos are mine but ask me and I can tell you who took them for I have handy filenames of truth!. You wouldn't tell I was a Virgo >.<

It's souled out in heaven!

I love this video - in fact, I love the whole album. It's wonderful :)

Argh.

Ignore the huge gap on the previous post. It always does this when I post any HTML template or whatever. >.<

And I don't know how to change it :(

Suggestions?
I've realised that I haven't created any icons in possibly months, mainly because most of them are crap.

Here are few I made today :)

1-2 Ian Curtis
3-4 Andrew VanWyngarden, MGMT
5 Adam Green
6-10 Beirut/Zach Condon
11 Albert Hammond, Jr.
12-15 Ezra Koenig/Vampire Weekend
16 Conor Oberst

Stop Me!

I am spending all my pennies on music. From tomorrow, if I even attempt to enter a record shop, you have my permission to steer me away, or flick me in the forehead if it comes to the worst.

My birthday is in
24 days! This calls for a merry jig around the room.

And my monkey bracelet is Teh Coolest. Far cooler than yours. It does the can-can and several karate moves, only rivalled by the guitar-busking-man in Manchester today who was pulling some groovy shapes :) And the jamming band were packing up as we walked past them for perhaps the third time. Alas. I was rather enjoying their music. :)

I bought the new Conor Oberst album. This calls for an even merrier jig. I have been waiting for this and now it is in my hands. He looks like a sleepy sausage on the cover art though, which can only be a
good thing.
I also bought Fleet Foxes debut on the strength of one song (which
filled my heart with joy) but I thought it was a wonderful song. I shall listen to the album in full after the Conor Oberst one, which is playing im Moment. Here is a link --> CLICK!

And I got Vampire Weekend on the strengh of three songs. I have heard only good things from them though so methinks it shall be a good listen :) And Ezra Koenig has
beautiful coloured eyes. Indeed. Here is a funny video review I found - mainy because it is in pirate talk. Click? Arr me hearties.

That is all for today. I shall post some photographs from my jollies soon, if and when I remember.

On another note; my shoulder looks like that of a very old scaly dragon. Ew.
Let that be a lesson to ye all. If you have unbelievably stupidly pale skin like me - be warned of the sun. >.< style="color: rgb(102, 0, 204);"> ONE HOUR and have suffered bad burns to my back and shoulders and arms. Joy of joys. When people say life isn't fair - this is what they meant. Which leads to the question, what if you were very pale and you lived in a very hot country? What would you do then? Hmm...
