Most random quiz ever.
And I bought the two most recent TAI... albums. They're really, really good and I really like William Beckett's lyrics; especially on Santi. Fast Times At Barrington High is great for singing along really loudly too and is a really "fun" album. Also, you should look up TAI TV on Youtube or iTunes - it's very funny. ^-^
The Planets on Saturday - I am looking forward to it but I must find my Halloween bits and bobs first. Here I come, charity shops (and Afflecks). I need a bowler hat, white gloves and a faux fur stole/cap. Any suggestions? I've found the perfect dress though: black and covered in lace. It's beautiful. I don't do it much justice. :( (Oh, I need fangs as well.)
And why can't I find the Desaparecidos album ANYWHERE? Argh.

(Sorry about the quality of the photos but they are screenshots after all ^-^ )

Three Cheers For Double Movie Marathons
There was a debate of sorts on Thursday and Friday about which film we were going too see on Friday night. However, we compromised in the end and went to see both: Tropic Thunder (Becky's choice) and Pineapple Express (my choice).
Tropic Thunder was quite good. I didn't think it was as funny as a whole compared to films like Dodgeball and Zoolander, but it was okay. Strangely, the ten-year old heroin gangleader was so huggable - albeit really scary and evil. There were a bunch of guys at the back of the theatre making growly noises and I thought it was part of the film for ages. *facepalm*
Pineapple Express was so funny. James Franco was really good in it. Methinks he had the best lines. I suppose you'd have to have a bit of knowledge about stoner culture to get a couple of the jokes. Apparantly, it's by the same people behind Superbad but I've never seen that film - I must get round to it. Becky has already advised me not to watch it with the parents. ;D
Also, somebody is being bloody terrible at subtle avoidance. Deary me.
I love Natalie Dee's cartoons/illustrations at the moment. You should have a look:

I never wrote one single thing for you.
Hm, I sense that these blog posts can going to be few and far between. I just keep forgetting to update - terrible excuse, I know.
Even so, its not as if anything exciting has happened in the past few weeks. I've started my final year in 6th form, which is a good thing. Around eight months until freedom. Sweet freedom. And then I'll be off somewhere, sometime to at least do something I like. However, the little problem of personal statements and uni applcations is slightly daunting, and to be honest its scary. For starters, I can't think of five unis that I actually want to go to. I have three, im Moment. I'm going to hope for the best. But what if I don't accepted to any of my top three? What if I end up going somewhere I don't like for the next four years? Well, I guess it's going to be three as I'm going to be in Germany for one year - I'm really excited but apprehensive at the same time. I think it'll be cool though :)
The thought of going off to uni is really super. Independence and silliness all in one place. I just hope there'll be people at whichever place I end up going to that I can connect with. Shyness is not an advantage in these situations.
Going back to 6th form, back to the future - I think that the goodness of free periods has worn off. Having two or three free periods a day seems fine to begin with but I have nothing to do. And sitting around for one or two hours irritates me. Therefore, I tend to go on pointless walks while there's no one else around. Also, I have no frees with any of m best friends, which is kind of annoying.
But the new deutshen Assistaent kommt! Having "lessons" with them is fun. We're meant to be doing topic-related work but last year it ended up with our former asisstant showing us his favourite internet game of "BumperBall" and talking about reggae.
A few gigs are on the way too. Unfortunately, I missed The Academy Is... as it was sold out - I was very sad. So then I thought, who else could I see soon? After a quick search I found that both Vampire Weekend and The Mystery Jets were sold out too. Tough luck. MGMT in November though! I cannot wait. I've been to the Backdoor Project a lot recently too. It's this tiny music venue where local rising bands play, mostly heavy metal and thrash and the like. Although last time, there was a decent band and then there was this strange threesome who played a mixture of metal and really bad rapping. It had to be seen to be believed. And I went to Academy Unsigned at Academy 3 as someone I know is in one of the bands. They were good, as per usual. There was a band who sang about pie. It was very funny. Becky-chan's pleas of "Blueberry pie!" were not acknowledged however; much to our chagrin.
Becky got picked up quite early so I was waiting outside for about half an hour. But at about eleven o'clock, a handful of people emerged from the Student's Union. One of them sat on a pillar next to me and started smoking but then a couple of his friends came out, so he went somewhere with the girl. The other guy, suprisingly, started up conversation with me. He was very nice and polite and he had a moustache. He told me how he'd been to see Jeffrey Lewis and his band of merry men. This was a musician I had heard of before but never really investigated, as it were. He told me all about it and about how he was like Adam Green, a fellow anti-folkie. I'd been to see Adam Green at the Club Academy in April - he was amazing. Back to the story, this guy has a moustache/beard thing going on. We talked and then his other two friends emerged from wherever and he shook my hand, told me to take care and left. I was rather sad; he seemed a lovely chap. I never even got his name. If you're out there: thank you for finally getting me to listen to Jeffrey Lewis, it's really cool. Kooky and naive and funny. Just the way I like it.
Also, according to Jodie, I go for "bad guys" - rather vague. Kat, blunt as ever, texts me to say I like "grumpy gits...you like grumpy, broken, mop-haired boys." I can't exactly say she is wrong. It's not my fault. It's just pure coincidence. Kat always seems to be right when it comes to these issues. So much so, she feels the need to tell the auditionees of "Les Miserables" that I have a back fetish, amongst other things. I do not have a fetish. XD I simply like backs. Like some people like muscles or six-packs (both of which I cannot stand).
So simply according to Holy Kat, here is my checklist for potential boyfriends:

Alas, I must now go.
Peace out.
P.S. I have also recently purchased a guitar.
I am beyond crap.

Here's the new KOL video. I like the exorcism theme it's got going on and it's a lot different from their other videos. And Jared is chasing a chicken! :)

It's cold out here and it will be quite a shock...

Bananas :)
I've been sorting out my computer because I have way too many files that are gathering virtual dust and so I came along to deleting photos I didn't want anymore.
But while I was doing this, I noticed a repeated theme throughout various pictures of bands/musicians/other cool people.
Bananas.
Look!:
Bananas were the battlement of choice from Russell Brand and Noel Fielding on BFQOTY:
Peter and Carl:

Andrew VanWyngarden (MGMT):

The Strokes:

The Mystery Jets:

Klaxons:

Jeff Buckley:
Hmm...
