Would You Believe Me When I Tell You, "You Are The King Of My Heart"?

It's reached a pinnacle.

I fail at failing.

You can't get much worse than that.
Although I am a mean jam-jar-wrapper-and-decorator. From now on, this shall be my new title.

I've found an actual real life Adam Green/Moldy Peaches/Anti-folk too. Heavens above.

I fell off the wagon and into your arms.

Isn't that photo great? Toffee apples. Fireworks. Traffic jams. Fairground rides. Lovely, lovely, lovely.

Well, Friday was eventful. :)

I daresay, my social life has sufficiently increased this year - I feel rather happy.

And alas; I am the last of the Proactives. Oh dear. This must be solved. I must find a willing participant. But they are no nowhere to be found. No: they can be found - just not anywhere near me.

I wasn't too keen on "Sam's Town" but after watching The Killers on Jools Holland, methinks "Day and Age" will be a smooshing of "Sam's Town" and "Hot Fuss". I loved "Hot Fuss". The synths sealed the deal really.

I've been listening to happier music recently. Music you can sing along to and dance to. By dancing, I mean proper dancing because I can "dance" to anything. Apparantly my moves are cool and abstract. You heard it here first.

One day exactly until MGMT. I am very excited and I've been waiting a long time for this. Do not expect me to act rationally tomorrow either.

I don't want to be obsolete to you.

A Reduction In Mood

1. Which celebrity would you like to meet and why?
"Celebrity" is a funny word and one I don't like much. However, there are a great many musicians/bands I would like to meet.

2. What do you do before bedtime?
Listen to my iPod other wise my mind is racing. "Lovers In Japan" is a good song to calm you down or anything by Beirut.

3. One of your favorite quotes?
"As they take eye for an eye, until no one can see
We must stumble blindly forward, repeating history"
OR
"Oh, you are the roots that sleep beneath my feet and hold the earth in place."

4. What is the city of your dreams and why?
I love Manchester and London, to be honest but I would like to live in America for a short while.

5. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Introvert.

6. Which is more blessed, loving someone or being loved by someone?
To be loved is a wonderful thing.

7. What's the most important thing someone you like has to have?
Honesty, sensitivity, artistic tendancies, a good heart. And a good backbone.

8. If the person you secretly like is already attached, what would you do?
I've been in that situation. Cry. Feel angry. Be bitter. And then try and get over it. I'm not a man-stealer.

9. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
Oh, my lack of boyfriend.

10. Do you have a good body-image?
LOL

11. Is being tagged fun?
What now?!

12. What websites do you visit daily?
Myspace , Facebook, LJSecret and FBR_trash.

13. Who are currently the most important people to you?
The PBB.

14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?
What is this tagging you speak of?

15. What’s the last song that got stuck in your head?
Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd
I'm learning it on my guitar.

16. What’s your favorite item of clothing?
My new shiny skirt. It's blue with blue polka dots. Or my tartan tights.

17. What's better: to give or to receive?
To give (:

18. What's the first thing you notice in people?
The way they hold themselves and their hair. And their backbone.

19. Would you have 100% safe sex with a stranger for $10,000,000?
NO.

20. What were your parents going to name you if you'd been born the opposite gender?
I was going to be Patrick. A good strong Irish name. :P And it's my dad's middle name. My sister was going to be Oliver; which is a name I really like. :)

Up or down or upside down?

Oh dear.

The Blackpool trip is tomorrow.

Well, what I mean is - "yay" for leaving 6th form early and getting to wear non-uni. Also, it's a Wednesday so there will no nobody else at the park. :)

However, I am frigging terrified of rollercoasters. Even more so of the ones with just the lap bar. I don't mind the full over-the-head restraints because I feel safe. But dropping 205 feet with only a lap bar to keep me in does not make me feel at ease.

The only reason why I went on them six months ago was because I was tricked. I was fooled into believing it was not The Big One until I was near the front of the queue.

Well, now I know.

I'm going to try and go on the watery rollercoaster that I didn't go on last time, though. I went on my first big rollercoasters this summer. It was fun :) We were going up really slowly towards the first big drop and I kept going "I want to get off!". Amanda went, "It's a bit too late now."

It was the best ride I've been on so far. :D

Do you know who I think I am?

Me and Becky have actually started some kind of trend in the 6th form common room. Well, two people have taken up our idea but it's a start. (I still want TWISTER back though!)

It is the game of "Who Am I?"

I was given Ron Weasley,
Hitler and Brandy Alexander. Aside from these, I was mostly given genderless, hermaphrodite creatures. What does this say about me?! ¬_¬

Becky was by far the funniest, though.

Example #1 : Becky as Herself

Becky: Am I a man? Everybody else: Erm...

Example #2: Becky as Red Power Ranger

Becky: Do I wear a suit?

Us: Yes
Becky: Is it a red suit?
Us: Yes
...
Becky: Am I a Power Ranger?
Us: Yes. So, which one are you?
Becky: Oh! Am I Blue Power Ranger
Us: *facepalms*

Example #3: Becky as Barack Obama?

Becky: Am I on a reality TV show? Do I dance? Do I have an afro?

*Cue everybody thinking of an afro-sporting, tap-dancing Obama in the Big Brother House.*

Oh, what a spoon you are, McMillan. :)

Our proposed trip to Dusseldorf is also on the way up. Renton and Midwinter are keen. Now, we must get past Mrs Tough. Just think; our German class. Three days in Germany. With no adults.

Yes please. :D

Oh, and finally.

Me: Am I male?

Becky: Yes, erm...well, no, YES.
Me: William Beckett?

We show our love in evil ways.

No One's Gonna Love You More Than I Do.

Well, Saturday was possibly the best Saturday I've had in a while. It was just a normal day in Manchester really but compared to the past couple of weeks, it was cool.

As previously mentioned, it was my mission to find a) part of my Halloween costume and b) to see this band (The Planets).

Victoria Station is a very confusing place. The trains stop at a different platform every time and I was meant to be meeting Becky but I had no idea which direction she would be coming from - you need to have eyes in the back of your head. I saw a man who was dressed in a full Scottish kilt with the tasselled socks, buttoned jacket and pouch, carrying a Boots carrier bag. It was a very strange sight indeeed. I was wearing my groovy tartan tights. We kind of matched. :) I also managed to walk in and out of teh train station without slipping. This is a rare and valued scenario.

Anyway, we found part of the costume. I got this black, strapless dress that is covered in lace and it's so wonderful. It's the kind of dress that you wear and you feel instantly happier. Which is ironic, seeing as though it's black - the most depressing colour. It shall be a good dress for dancing in too, I think.

We popped down to Zavvi to see the band at 3pm, which was the time they told me but it was delayed for half an hour. However, Becky managed to find Season 2 of Lost and bought that. I don't think she cares for the plot at all; she only watches it to feed her newly-developed addiction of Sawyer's Manly Dimples (TM). She came up with that phrase there. :/ Also, one of the guys who works at Zavvi looks like a younger, cuter, extremely skinny version of Captain Jack Sparrow. The headscarf, the eyeliner, the hair!

The live area of Zavvi is underground. I love underground things. There weren't that many who turned up to watch The Planets, which was a shame because they were really good. If I wasn't so good at being so inhibitive, I would have danced around like crazy because they are a Dancing Band. Indeed. Becky recently said that my music collection is devoid of Dancing Bands and I must agree that it is. I rectified that, however, by buying TAI...'s albums and Cobra Starship's mot recent album. They're super great for dancing around the house at night and singing along with (very loudly). Or for making up mini-dance routines in the common room during free periods in the 6th form.

The second band were called The Black Knights. They were kind of like the White Stripes, although they were just two men. The singer had a really good voice and he reminded me of someone so much but I just couldn't match the voice to a name. I'm still trying to figure it out :( The singer was also wearing a purple suit and we both saw him upstairs prior to the shindig, except I thought he was just dressing up as The Joker. Oh, how I fail.

I forgot to say - we met up with Keiran too, which was unexpected but good. And he made some interesting observations, such as the fact that Becky got checked out by some guys ;)

Proactiveness works!

I am re-employing Proactiveness this year. It is working! I am on friendly terms with one guy again and Nicole's Psychology class spent part of their lesson talking about how to set me up with this said guy. Methinks it'll end up badly though. Nobody but three(?) people know of my previous humiliation. Woe betide...
